Georgian Oak Bureau Bookcase Circa 1800

$2,900.00

Utterly delightful Georgian, English country house, bureau bookcase. Circa 1800.

Beautifully figured and patinaed Oak. Crossbanded panelled doors, opening to reveal two adjustable shelves inside, the bureau fall opening to reveal a lovely fitted interior with various drawers, compartments and an inlaid door at the centre. Some old worn chips to teh top of the pelmet.

Three smaller and three large Oak lined graduated drawers below, standing on bracket feet.

Both the upper bookcase & desk lock.

It measures 1145mm wide x 535mm deep x 2290mm high.

The colour may be slightly different depending on your screen. All of our furniture is Antique or Vintage and has patina.

When we restore pieces we never take them back to raw as this lessens the integrity of a piece. Patina is the build up of little marks and scratches over the many years of the life of an antique, these give it a lovely warm overall appearance.

If there are any major marks or defects we will always point them out either in the description and or photos. If you need more photos just let us know. Inspections welcome. Pop into our shop.
